Green/Active [Nurture Photography]

Active ended up being quite the appropriate theme for the start of the Nurture Photography Challenge this season. Mikey’s birthday was last Monday, so I spent quite a lot of time running around getting things ready for that. My parents, brother, and sister are visiting from England this week and next as well, meaning that we’ve been out doing quite a few different things on each day so far this week.

It’s been quite a few weeks since I had really taken any photos other than quick snapshots, so I’ve been looking forward to getting back into the photo challenge. I think I’ve needed perhaps a little inspiration.

There has, of course, been enough energy leftover towards the end of our full day to play with Mikey on his scooter when he gets home from school in the afternoon.

Mikey has really been enjoying having his grandparents, aunt, and uncle here to visit. He has loved having his grandad take him to school in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon.

  1. I’m so excited about the challenge! I hope your enjoying your family’s visit. Loving the beautiful ivy climbing up the building!

  2. for some reason your pictures did not show up on my bloglovin feed… i’m so glad i can see them here.

  3. These are great. It’s so nice when family comes to visit. We just had my uncle and aunt here for two weeks. They were visiting from Germany. It’s just extra special now to get to spent this time with them when they come to visit. Love the green ivy (?) climbing up the walls of the building. Pretty cool. 🙂

  4. Joining in a little late great shots the scooter makes me cringe my son wrecked his when he was about your sons age. The first time he was flying down the sidewalk caught the corner of a sewer lid and flipped knocked his front tooth loose. Took him to the dentist said it would be okay just a baby tooth. But the very next week to the day he did it again but this time the dentist said the tooth needed to be pulled. Here I sit in the dentist office crying people staring at me like what is her problem it’s just a tooth. Needless to say that was the last of the scooter just one of those things that happens . Enjoy your family
