A Splash of Colour

A little light rain has been soaking the ground, water for more late flowers to grow and bloom. We have been patiently waiting for Spring, finding ourselves doing mostly the same routine each week. Work, School, Dance Class on Tuesdays. Weekends spent mostly together at home.

Every day on our short walk to Preschool, Mikey and I keep a look out for new flowers that have bloomed in our neighbour’s front yards, or birds singing in the trees. That has become our routine as well, one that we both enjoy. We count how many steps it takes us to get to school and make a note of the things that we see on the way. We often lose count of our steps when Mikey spots something new: A different coloured flower than yesterday or a bird that we haven’t seen since last year.

    • Ah, the lens has a little bit of a learning curve but I got used to it pretty quickly. It’s manual focus too, which takes a little getting used to, especially for moving subjects.
