Winter 2013 [Nurture Photography]

After Christmas and New Year are over, the shorter days of Winter can begin to feel dreary and uninspiring. Some days I feel as though I’m stuck in the apartment with nowhere interesting to go, that has been especially true this past week as my family have been sick and I find myself coming down with a cold now that they are on their way to recovering.

Winter doesn’t have to be all drab and unexciting though, even in its grey skies and cold weather, there is still plenty of inspiration to be had if we know where to look for it.

It’s a good opportunity too, to use this time to become more familiar with our cameras before the arrival of Spring. Which is why I’m excited to announce the dates for the Nurture Photography Winter 2013 Photo Challenge.

Nurture Photography Winter 2013

I’ll be teaming up with Kristi of Live and Love Out Loud this winter to bring you some much needed inspiration for these cold winter days. Nurture Photography is our series of seasonal photography challenges, we’ll be bringing you the inspirational and challenging prompts that you have become accustomed to with our seasonal photo challenges, as well as tutorials, tips and a few freebies as well. Before the challenge officially begins we’ll also have a few tips and freebies to help you get ready to take some beautiful photos for each of the prompts.

  1. nifty. will have to get in on this 😛 it’s gonna be hard tho (for me) cause we have no snow so it’s not so much winter as a very cold fall… 😛

    • I’m hoping it’ll do the same for me! I took so many photos over the Christmas break but now I feel in a bit of a slump!
