Berries [Monthly Reading Love]

As the nights continue drawing in, I’ve had the chance to spend a little more time surrounded by books. Particularly Christina Rosalie‘s book, A Field Guide to Now, which I have been carrying around with me for the better part of a month. It’s the kind of book where I can’t read the entire thing in one sitting. Each chapter asks to be absorbed separately before I move onto the next. As I finish it and think about starting over for a second reading, my copy of the book is already filled with folded over pages, post-it notes and scraps of paper marking important parts.

The book really spoke to me in a way I didn’t expect. I found myself nodding my head in parts and brought to tears in others (while I was reading on the train no less). It is wonderful and I finished it feeling entirely inspired.

I also picked up a copy of The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook last month. I was unable to go see Deb Perelman when she was at my local book store, but I made it in the following day to snag one of the signed copies that she left. But the book is beautiful, the recipes look and sound amazing, I’m going to be adding a lot of these recipes to our meal plans for the coming months.

I only have a couple of reading links online for you this month.
