There are times when you feel the need to just be still. There’s a cold rain splattering against the windows. The air inside the apartment is dry from the vintage radiator heat, I’ve hung our wet laundry to dry in the dining room in the hope that the moisture will help a little and put a bowl of water on top of one of the radiators to evaporate with the heat.

I’m running on coffee, Mikey has been waking a lot in the night this weekend with another cough he picked up from Preschool or during our Halloween fun. I thought I would pull out the espresso pot, I’ve been craving something a little stronger than my usual French Press coffee because of these late night wakings.

Sickness and cold weather of course always encourages us to pull out the blankets and spend time snuggled, reading books and napping together. I’m hoping that perhaps this will be the last of the colds for this year, it seems as though we’ve spent so much time sick already.

Kristi of Live and Love out Loud and I are hosting an awesome Fall Photo Challenge, designed to Nurture your love of Photography and with our tips and tutorials help you to make your memories flourish. 1. You absolutely captured the sweetness in the stillness that can sometimes fill a home when one is sick. There is something just beautiful in this post.
