Reservoir
This weekend we spent some time at Monee Reservoir, outside of the city. We had a picnic and Mikey enjoyed looking at the boats and watching people fish on the reservoir. He tells me that he’d like to go fishing someday soon with his daddy.

The autumn is so filled with fun things to do, the weather is cooling off and it seems as though there isn’t a weekend where we’re off at art fairs, craft fairs or some autumn related festival. We browsed the Park Forest Art Fair on Sunday, taking in the beautiful paintings, photographs and other crafts.

Last week, Kristi of Live and Love out Loud and I announced the dates for our awesome Fall Photo Challenge, designed to Nurture your love of Photography and with our tips and tutorials help you to make your memories flourish. We both hope that you stop by on October 5th to take part. Head over to the Photo Challenge Page to find out more.

How hot is it over there Bexley? It seems that whenever I read your blog – winter or summer, it’s SUPER hot!
You know, the summers here have been stupidly hot for my English blood. And humid. It’s starting to cool down now though and actually feels like Autumn this week. Until pretty recently some of the days have been as high as 40C, apparently I missed the worst of it this year when I was staying with my parents.
Also, you know it is so English of me to be complaining about the weather
oooo so pretty
kinda wanna jump off that dock like, right now xD
Ha! I felt like it too
Sounds like a lovely day at the reservoir. I’m missing the cooler temps and autumn photo ops, but I know it’s coming… it may just be a little delayed. I’m hoping I can participate some with your challenge. We’ll see how things go…

Beautiful photos, as always. You always make me jealous that I’m not there in IL traipsing around with my camera.

Glad to hear you and the family had a fun weekend outing. It’s good to get out of the house and do something different once in a while.
Neat lily pad picts!

So pretty I’m always so nervous taking my kids around water cause they are my kids and love water. So I will come home with two wet kids, at best.

What a lovely area!! It looks so peaceful. But the first photo kinda reminds me of Bandon river (Ireland) when it was flooded in November (or December?) 2010.

Nothing to say except love, love, love. You make public places seem so serene.
