Printer’s Row Lit Fest

This is a scheduled post and I’m probably at the airport by now, perhaps even boarding my plane to England where I’ll be visiting my family for six weeks this summer.

This past weekend though, my last in Chicago for some time, I took a little trip downtown to the Printer’s Row Lit Fest. To meet with a friend, wander around, take a look at all of the booksellers and pick up a few bargain books. It was a beautiful bright, sunny day and I arrived downtown relatively early in order to avoid the heat of midday.

There were so many different festivals and markets in the Chicago neighbourhoods this past weekend that it was honestly difficult to choose which to go to. Sadly I couldn’t go to them all because I also had to spend time packing and preparing for my trip.

When a friend mentioned that she would be going to the Lit Fest I decided I’d meet with her and go to that one too, as I’d just missed it last year. I did pick up a couple of books while I was there, to take with me on the plane, and had fun just wandering around taking photos.

I’m also very excited to announce the Summer Daze Photo Party! Kristi of Live and Love Out Loud, Alicia of Project Alicia and I will be hosting this fun, laid back photo party. Simply stop by each Friday (beginning this Friday, June 15th) and share your favourite summer photos! No complicated prompts this time around, but we’ve put together a fun printable bucket list to help you with ideas if you get stuck!
