Sunshine/Light [Leap into Spring!]

Just living is not enough… One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.

– Hans Christian Andersen

The first week of the Leap into Spring! Photo Challenge and I absolutely cannot think of a better prompt to begin with. Spring is bringing us brighter days and the change of the clocks to Daylight Savings Time means that we get to enjoy the beautiful sunshine for even longer each day.

In the city, as the evening draws closer and the sun gets lower in the sky, the soft light peeks around the edges of tall buildings and reflects off of the glass windows. It pours through blossom-laden tree branches, and dances over patches of bright green grass. Mikey likes to play outside, making shapes on the sidewalk with his own tall shadow.

Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.

– J.M. Barrie
