Calm [Poetic Winter, A Photography Challenge]
I’d written a few things to begin with, on the subject of calm, and then subsequently deleted them. Because honestly? I feel a little like I’ve been searching, this week, for just a little spot of calm… anything really. Just one minute even. But it’s been much busier than usual and I feel like I’ve barely had a second to myself. That’s not really the kind of introduction I wanted to make for Calm this week, but perhaps I can look forward a little to having some down time next week? I think that maybe I need to keep the above quote in mind a little more in the future, and I certainly need to search out out a beach where I can listen to the calm waves lapping gently at the shore.

I almost skipped this week for that same reason. On Tuesday, I was drinking a cup of coffee out of my favorite cup and it dawned on me…It’s not about everything appearing calm or even being calm..it’s about finding my calm in the midst of the noise and craziness. So, I took a photo of my cup with my chin…lol (oh, the things I have learned to do with no hands since becoming a mama..lol)

Isn’t it funny that we all seem to have had a crazy busy week- anything but calm?… perhaps “calm” wasn’t the most ideal choice for the finale in retrospect? lol. But I love what barefootmama said. It’s exactly how I was feeling. “Finding calm in the midst of the noise.” And your photos are beautiful as always!
