Pinecones & Glitter

Over the weekend we decorated pinecones, painting the edges white and coating them with glitter. Mikey had fun with all of the glitter of course, and I don’t think I’ve entirely managed to get all of it out of the area rug as of yet. I get to be in some photographs this time too, the last four photos were taken by my husband as I helped Mikey out with his paint and glitter.
Preparations for Christmas are fully underway, decorations are finished, meals have been planned and little gifts have been wrapped. Christmas books and films have been pulled out, ready to be read and watched. Activities and get-togethers with family, friends and neighbours have been organised. Mikey has been getting excited that there are only a few more numbers left on his advent calendar!

It’s such a rarity for me to be in pics! Great pictures! I love everything Christmas from the books, movies, and crafts too!

I joked with my husband that Mikey will wonder if he even had a mother growing up, because I’m in so few photos with him. Which is silly really because my husband is a photographer too, just perhaps a lazy one
Christmas crafts are so much fun
I feel like I haven’t chatted with you in forever!
That photo of Mikey with his glitter hands? I love it!
I know… urgh. We should really chat more! But the holidays and everything make everyone so busy.
My husband took that photo, I told him what you said and he was very pleased you liked it
LOVE, LOVE your pics. As always. You make it look so easy… How do you make glittering pinecones look so artistic and beautiful? Seriously.

Thanks Alicia! Seriously though, it didn’t look so artistic and beautiful in my dining room AFTER getting glitter everywhere! In the rug, in our clothes… you get the idea. Ha.
