Theatre, Books & Lovely

“An interactive love letter to the universe”. That’s what the crowds are doing in Millennium Park, Chicago in the first 5 photographs. The Beckoning of Lovely, something you should watch. Perhaps you can’t quite see how many people were there from the foreground of the photographs, but if you look closely you can see them all, reflected in the shiny surface of the bean.
Mikey and Daddy reading Mikey’s favourite book together, in the tent that has been taking over the living room since I put it up on Halloween. Even though there’s not really enough room for it, Mikey has loved playing in it so I don’t really have the heart to take it down again.
Then on Sunday we attended the first play we’ve ever taken Mikey to, The Chicago Children’s Theatre production of Goodnight Moon The Musical. And it was so, so wonderful. Mikey enjoyed every second of it.

I’ve been there! The bean is so neat, and I love the reflections in it. The tent picture is so sweet. Cherished moments of reading together!

I think the Bean is like one of THE coolest things ever. And your photos are pretty great too.
The shot of them in the tent is just so lovely and the cute one of your little guy’s face by the theater.
Enjoyed your pictures. I love the tent picture. Illustrates fun.

I really like all your Chicago black and whites but I must say, the tent in the living room is the most fun! And I love that you leave it up even though it’s not so convenient just to keep your boy happy.
