Grass and Leaves
Monday began my husband’s first full day of school for this semester, and also Mikey’s first day of a more deliberate schedule of play and learning. We woke early, starting the day by seeing daddy off to school and then making breakfast for ourselves. Mikey helped me wash and cut tomatoes to cook with our eggs and ate more than half of them before they made it into the pan. After breakfast we got dressed and headed outside for some play with leaves. Mikey asked to bring his pencils and paper, he collected different kinds of leaves for me to draw for him, then followed my lead and drew them himself.
Of course, I couldn’t resist taking some photographs while we played. I’m seriously leaning towards more black and white photography lately, a phase perhaps… but I’m enjoying it. Of course, I have to get all of this black and white photography out of my system before October, when I’ll be teaming up with Alicia of Project Alicia and Kristi of Live and Love Out Loud to bring you the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge, October 7th to November 25th. they are all fantastic! love the smile in the first, the eye in the second, fingertips in the third, pencils in the fourth and clover in the fifth! …and I have also been leaning toward black and white lately! I hope to take up the autumn color challenge though!

I love your BW shots too! There different then your average BW…more grungy looking I guess you could say. I like that.
