It seems as though most of Europe is having snow at the moment and here has not been any different. It’s been snowing on and off in Heidelberg since Thanksgiving, but today is the first time that we’ve had any significant amount settle where we are, it was mostly resting on the tops of the beautiful mountains we have around us making us feel as though we have been living in a Christmas Card.

All this snow has us thinking about Christmas, we put up our tree over the weekend although I’m waiting until December to put any lights up. The Weihnachtsmarkt in town is in full swing, plenty of lights, cookies and Gluhwein! I adore everything about Christmas in Germany, and sadly this will be our third and last here so we’re going to be making the most of it.

Oh wow, I remember Heidelberg in winter, this city is beautiful all year round, but winter just adds something that makes you feel as if being there is the best kept secret ever. I miss the weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) and the beautiful ornaments and ahhhh Gluhwein, if you can stand it. 🙂 Can you please mail me a Willi Geck and Steak Bretzel from that lil’ shop in Friedberg, I’d really appreciate it.
