First of all, I want to thank you all from the very bottom of my heart for all of the lovely comments and emails I received after my previous post. I can’t really put into words how much it means to me that you guys took the time to reach out to us. Day by day, things are beginning to settle into focus a little more, although we still have a long and confusing road ahead of us that we’re trying to carefully navigate. I’ll be able to share a little more about what is happening as time progresses, but for now, just a huge thank you for all of your kind words and concern. I’m slowly managing to regain some sense of normalcy around here.

The theme today over at You Capture, by Beth at I Should be Folding Laundry is What Inspires You? The two photographs above are of my husband and son, taken a couple of weeks ago when we were visiting castles along the Rhein River. At the sure risk of sounding like a complete sap, they both inspire me every single day. To be a better mother, wife and person than I ever thought I could be. To smile, learn, laugh and play. To enjoy every moment and to make and photograph memories that will last forever, no matter what we go through or which way our lives end up heading.

My friend Ann, the amazing lady behind Household 6 Diva, is also starting a brand new photo meme tomorrow called fotofriday. This weeks theme is something you love. I figure these photographs tie in wonderfully with that as well and you should go on over and check it out.

What do you love, and what inspires you?

  3. I love these photos, you captured the relationship beautifully. Also, I hope you find your way with the current troubles you are having. Best of luck to you!

  4. I love that first photo – something so special about the way your husband is looking at your son. Great capture! Just read your older post and wanted to let you know I just prayed for you in whatever you are going through.

  5. Awww 🙂 So this it totally random, but your husband kinda looks like the guy in those AFN commercials- the one dressed up in a trench coat and magnifying glass. Sorry if that sounds silly, but I thought if that was him, that’d be neat.

    • Hahaha, it’s not as random as you think because it IS him! The hat he’s wearing in the first photo is that hat he wears for the commercial. When Mikey sees the commercial (like we did in the waiting room last week, waiting to get his hearing tested) he gets all excited and shouts “daddy! daddy!”

      • Ok, good, I didn’t want to seem like a complete creeper. I think seeing that hat is what triggered it. That’s pretty cool that you have a “celebrity” husband, haha.

  6. I think your a woman who loves her family. NO! SAP! Beautiful post! I’ll have to come back to read your last post. ((my little one just woke up)) What ever it is I wish you nothing but the best!

    Your “Foto”‘ are beautiful!

  7. You’ve shared some precious moments in your lovely photos. I’ve not visited here before but I did go and read your last post. I hope that with time you will be able to accept the change in your lives.

As for the beautiful scenery – I can remember travelling down the Rheine many years ago and the castles reminded me of the Cinderella castles in my books as a child.

    • thank you, that really means a lot 🙂 We’ll work through it eventually, it’ll be hard going but we’re going to make it out the other side somehow.
