Harvest, Spiders and Lizards
& A Summer in Review

They’ve been harvesting the fields behind my parents house this week, so we have taken Mikey to watch the big tractors and combine harvesters. We also made a visit to a nearby Butterfly Park where Mikey obsessed over spiders and lizards.
What else have we been up to on our little England vacation?
We took Mikey on his first train ride at a little vintage railway nearby [Click to see more photos]

We visited the good old British Seaside [Click to see more photos]

We have one more week left with my parents in England before we head on home to Germany.
Incidentally it was also my birthday yesterday. I’m 25 years old… still don’t feel “grown-up” yet.

a British expat living in Chicago with my husband and our 4 year old son. I love to take

Beautiful collages of your holiday in England. I was struck how I knew you were in England by the light in the photos compared to your photos when you are in Germany. It is so weird. It looks as if you have been busy doing all the English things, enjoy the rest of your break.
Take care. xxx
Love them all. My son loves tractors also. The beach house shot is gorgeous!

How do you make your collages? I’m interested in making some too. You can email me at veronicabeaudry@yahoo.com
I just put them together in photoshop using layers, nothing automated or exciting I’m afraid. I think you could probably search for templates online though, i’m sure I’ve seen them. CoffeeShop Actions do some I think.

[...] September: The first part of September is spent in England. I have my birthday there. Mikey collects horse chestnuts from a tree that I planted as a little girl. He also plays in the cornfields behind my parents house, gets to touch a lizard for the first time and obsess over spiders at a nearby animal park. Mikey has his birthday at the end of September and we go to the circus. [...]
